Growing up in Marion, OH, Dr. Concepcion has been around Urology his entire life, as his father was the first Urology resident at the Lahey Clinic in Boston. He was an Honors Scholar at The University of Toledo and received his medical degree from The Medical College of Ohio. In 1984, he matriculated to Vanderbilt University where he completed 2 years of General Surgery training and 4 years of Urology residency. During that time frame, he was a research fellow and served as Chief Resident in 1990.
Dr. Concepcion is the father of two teenagers, Nicholas and Isabel, and the proud dog-owner of Jojo – a Jack Russell Terrier. He is an avid exercise buff, and enjoys playing golf and snow skiing.
