Dr. Bill Dutton is a native of Knoxville, TN, and attended the University of Tennessee where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He then graduated from the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis. After completing a residency in general surgery, he finished a residency in pathology, and went on to complete an additional three-year residency in urology.

During his 37-year career, Dr. Dutton helped found the Vanderbilt Ethics Society. Currently, he is the chairman of the Board for Summit Medical Center.

Married to wife, Darlene, for 45 years, the Dutton’s raised three children and have since welcomed five grandchildren. Dr. Dutton has a number of interests including traveling, reading, writing, good food, biking (of all types), “fast cars”, motorcycles, and Tae Kwan Do!
