Growing up in Oberlin, Ohio, Brooke completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the Ohio State University and received her Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania where she received an academic traineeship to complete the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Brooke studied with Dr. Susan Kellogg-Spadt, one of the leading sexual health experts in the country. She also spent time in Norway studying the women’s health system as well as European attitudes towards sexual health issues. Additionally, Brooke has trained in colposcopy with a specialization in vulvar colposcopy. She recently received the William Oxley Thompson Award for early career achievement through the Ohio State University and the Recent Alumni Award for Clinical Excellence through the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.
Brooke is married to Jonathan (Attorney and CPA, The Law Office of Jonathan S. Faught), and they have two daughters, Clara and Lily. Her extended family includes three ‘big, spoiled mutts’ – Henry, Freddy and Willie. She enjoys running, traveling and anything involving adrenaline. She is an active member of The People's Church, Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee and Best Buddies Tennessee.
