Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Hassan where he was a star athlete in high school playing on the state championship baseball team, as well as being named all-city in golf. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry at Princeton University, and graduated from the Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Dr. Hassan was the chief resident in Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt and was awarded the Candle (Caring, Advocating, Nurturing, Determination, Leadership and Empathy) Award for his positive impact on the lives of physicians-in-training at Vanderbilt.
Dr. Hassan is married to Kristina Storck, MD, an OB-GYN at Heritage Medical, and they have two children. Dr. Hassan enjoys hiking, golf, windsurfing, travel and playing with his two kids.
