Dr. Lowe was born and raised in Cookeville, TN, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Yale University where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest honor society. He then attended the Vanderbilt School of Medicine.
Dr. Lowe is considered a pioneer and expert in minimally invasive prostate surgery with laser and microwave therapies.
Dr. Lowe and his wife Sandy Lowe, M.D. (who is a pediatric anesthesiologist) have two sons, John and Marks, and a daughter, Margaret. Dr. Lowe enjoys gardening, training for triathlons, playing tennis and blue grass music on the guitar.
