A native Nashvillian, Dr. Phillip Porch earned a B.S. from Vanderbilt University. He received his M.D. from University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee.
Dr. Porch is a pioneer in robotic surgery for radical prostatectomy. He and Dr. Dasari combined their experience and talents to perform the first robotic assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy at Centennial Hospital in August of 2003. Since then, they have performed over 200 robotic prostatectomies to date. He is considered a leader in ground breaking technology as he performed the first hand assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy and the first TVT obturator procedure in private practice in Nashville.
Dr. Porch is married to Linda Porch, who is a radiation therapy technician. They have two daughters, Meg and Ellie. He enjoys geocaching, scuba diving and hosts his own website www.theporch.com and internet server.
