Meet Dr. Hassan

Born and raised in Cincinnati, OH, Dr. Hassan was a star athlete in high school playing on a state championship baseball team, as well as being named all-city in golf. He received his Bachelor of Arts at Princeton University, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. He then graduated from Vanderbilt School of Medicine.

Dr. Hassan was the chief resident in Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt and was awarded the Candle (Caring, Advocating, Nurturing, Determination, Leadership, Empathy) Award for his positive impact on the lives of physicians-in-training at Vanderbilt. He also has won repeated Patient’s Choice Awards while in practice.

Dr. Hassan has published numerous articles in leading urologic journals, as well as presented at national and international meetings. He has also authored a book chapter in Urologic Oncology, a text commonly used in training urologic residents. He has been a practicing urologist since 2006.
