A practicing urologist since 1982
A native of middle Tennessee, growing up in Columbia, Dr. Locke was Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa at the University of Tennessee. He then attended the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis and completed a General Surgery and Urology residency in Memphis as well as a pediatric fellowship at LeBonheur Hospital.
Returning to middle Tennessee in Franklin, he has spent the last three decades actively involved in the community serving on Boards of Harpeth Academy, Battle Ground Academy, the Historic Carnton Association, Tennessee Medical Association, and is currently on the Board of the Southeastern Section of the American Urological Association. Dr. Locke was an early advocate of Robotic surgery performing his first robotic prostatectomy in 2003. Since that time he has been active in advancing the multiple uses and scope of robotics while proctoring surgeons around the US.
Married to Frieda for over 35 years, the Locke’s have two children, Elizabeth and Joel, and a new grandson, Walker. Dr. Locke is an avid reader, but is passionate about outdoor activities including sailing, skiing, hunting, golf and scuba diving.
