Expanding Advanced Treatment Options to Prostate Cancer Patients
Dr. Adnan Dervishi completed his first NanoKnife case today at our Urology Surgery Center!
What is NanoKnife? NanoKnife is a minimally invasive technology used to precisely ablate targeted prostate tissue. Unlike treatments that use heat or radiation, NanoKnife uses controlled electrical pulses to destroy targeted cells while helping preserve surrounding structures involved in urinary and sexual function.
For eligible men with localized prostate cancer, particularly certain patients with intermediate-risk disease, focal treatment with Nanoknife may offer an alternative to whole-gland treatment by targeting the area of concern while preserving more of the surrounding prostate and healthy tissue.
